ARMY
Hello to my fellow classmates. I have lived on a small farm in West Virginia for the past 10 years. I have 2 horses, 1 pot belly pig, 2 big dogs, and one cat. Used to be 8 cats and 12 kittens. In the past, and after serving in the Army, I had lived in upstate New York. I made my home in the small town of Middle Grove for 35 years. It is located 10 mi. outside of Saratoga (where the thoroughbred race track is located). It is also 45 min. south of Lake George. Being so near by, allowed me to catch lots of perch and big lake trout while ice fishing. While in Middle Grove, I married twice. I have one son from my first wife, and two daughters and another son from my second wife. No luck with the New York wives...married a 3rd in West Virginia and divorced a 3rd time. DONE!! Struck out!!. I retired at 56 years, 8 days of age...being able to retire that early is the only good thing about living in West Virginia!

Lonely, except for the fact that my animals keep me busy. Facebook has allowed me to keep in contact with some classmates (especially my good friend from back then..Eric Carlson, who now lives in Florida). We were friends from Mrs. Moses' 6th grade class until graduation.
HOPE I can make it to the reunion. I am going to contact Eric and see if he wants to drive to my place and stay over a couple of days. Then, we could drive to the reunion from West Virginia. Thanks to all of the committee members for putting together the 50th. WOW! Did I say 50th Class Reunion !!!!

Retired Married 3

Life has not been dull.  After receiving my Masters I worked in the field of disabilities, first as a teacher, then as a Compliance Analyst for the development of group homes in a 11 county area. I was a Parent Advisory Board Coordinator to develop Early Intervention legislation in NY. As Parent Advocate I lobbied locally and in Washington for the Children's Health Insurance Program. Becoming a Patient Advocate at a trauma hospital was the most stressful position I've held. The last 15 years I was the Coordinator of Information & Referral at ARC of Rockland helping children and families to access services. My office was the William Street school where I attended K-5. As a single parent I went to Bolivia to adopt my 3 yr. old daughter but but the US Consulate would not let her leave.  I returned home and with the help of Senators Congressmen, TV and press, the State Department granted her a Visa. I have been married to Ken for 33 years and we have two other daughters and four grandchildren.  I am a two time breast cancer survivor.  I am lucky to have shared my life with my friends Michele (Sayer), Cecile (Ablondi) and Linda (Bullis).

Married 3

After PRHS graduation and some good memories with classmates in Beach Haven (thanks to Mr. Lanks), I enjoyed four wonderful years and graduated from Princeton University.  I did my medical schooling at Guadalajara in Mexico and finished up at the College of Medicine in New Jersey.  After internal medicine training in Hackensack, NJ and a cardiology fellowship in Michigan, we moved to southern California.  The last thirty-five years have been happily spent practicing internal medicine and cardiology in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
I met my lovely wife, Cindy, at my good friend Alan Byrne’s cabin on Kueka Lake and have been married for 39 years.  We have 2 sons (ages 37 and 35) and a daughter (age 32) and two grandchildren (ages 4 and 2).
I enjoy traveling, especially seeing my twin sister Carol in Florida, my brother Peter in Connecticut and fun voyages with Alan and Joan. I enjoy biking, golf, tennis, kayaking and ping pong.  It will be great to see so many classmates at the reunion.

Subsequent to PRHS I moved to a foreign country….Texas….A yankee in Texas was a challenging concept, the ramifications of some war !!!.....I departed Texas A&M University in 71 with a BS in Construction Management and minor in structural engineering.…. The football games were a real challenge having to stand through the entire game….Something to do with the 12th man…..Never did figure out the significance of the term “GIG-EM” Aggies, but it is a saying I frequently use…..All kidding aside I was honored to have received my degree from Texas A&M.
Next was Florida….Having spent two spring breaks there I decided that Naples was the place to start my business…..It worked out really great, but after 20 years of mosquito blood transfusions, sand burs, no- see-ums, rattlesnakes, alligators, hurricanes and 95% humidity...I relocated to my mountain home in the blue ridge mountains NC…I do miss boating and fishing Florida ….. Cashiers was great, I loved mountain life, but after 28 years my college bride opted out of our marriage, so I relocated to South Carolina…..I still boat and fish the up state lakes and the coastal Atlantic.....I build in the up state area but my interests are rapidly changing.
Don’t think I will make the reunion but my best to ya’ll…..My greatest life accomplishment has been being saved..."GIG-EM"....Ron....

Executive Resources Divorced 2

After PRHS I attended Goucher College, and worked for the U.S. Civil Service Commission in NYC, teaching supervisory and leadership programs for Federal managers. I transfered to Washington DC and enjoyed putting on leadership programs that featured White House officials and Cabinet and agency heads.  Although I officially retired in 2006, I teach occasional management classes and consult for Federal agencies.
I still draw on Mr. Sarmiento's Spanish classes when I visit my son in Spain, and appreciate our outstanding teachers who made history come alive. I'm a volunteer docent for the National Park Service at Arlington House, the Robert E Lee memorial, which is in the middle of Arlington National Cemetery.
In my late 30's I had 2 athletic kids who "don't take after their mother the marching band member". My daughter is on three softball teams that play in Golden Gate Park (San Francisco) and my son is a die-hard Redskins fan and attends Washington Capitals practices at their rink not far from our house. We've had several dogs and cats named after favorite athletes, including a black cat named Ovi, for Alex Ovechkin.

Retired Probation Director Divorced 2

I worked for the County of Rockland for 33 years, with 27 in the Department of Probation. I was the Director of Probation for the seven years prior to my retirement in 2009.
I lived in Pearl River until 2001, when I moved to Nanuet. I have two children. My daughter Jennifer lives in Peekskill with her husband and four children (ages 6, 4, 4 and 2). And my son Raymond who lives in West Nyack with his wife and two children (ages 17 and 12).
I spend much of my time with my family, reading, baking, crafting and volunteering at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in it's Food Cupboard and with it's Outreach Committee.

An interesting fact is that my sisters Tara and Belinda, my brother Michael and my daughter, Jennifer all graduated from Pearl River HS in 1987, so they are celebrating their 30th reunion this year.

Retired, School Occupational Therapist Married 2

Three years after graduating, I married my high-school sweetheart, Gary Amann (class of 1965), and we will be celebrating our 47th wedding anniversary this year. Following, came two children, Kim (now 45, graduate of McGill and London School of Economics, and a Strategy Intelligence Consultant) and Shawn (now 40, graduate of Virginia Tech and Baruch College, and a Hospital Operations Director). After raising a family, I went back to school (R.C.C. and Pace University), and over the years, I have held numerous positions. Those positions, ranged from being an Embroidery Designer for a lace company, to being an Occupational Therapist in a school. Working with special needs children, I was very fortunate to hold a position that I loved in the North Rockland School District, for 20 years.
Now that I am retired, we are able to spend more time with our children who live in Vienna, VA, and Yardley, PA., and our two grandchildren (Alex, age 6 and Isabella, age 7). I also have more time to pursue my passions, which include: spending time with friends, gardening, sewing, repurposing antiques, concocting artistic creations (thanks to Mr.Tinurelli), and going to Broadway shows. Gary and I also love to travel in our spare time. Over the years, we have had the opportunity to travel to many states and countries, with China and Morocco being two of the most memorable.
After having had the honor of working on the reunion committee with many of your hard, working classmates, I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!

Retail Married 3

NAVYUpon graduation, I joined the US Navy and served proudly throughout the Vietnam Era as a Dental Technician. Upon discharge, I married an active duty, Navy man who served for 23 years. Although my husband's military service allowed me the oppurtunity to travel and experience new things, we moved often (every 2-4 years) making it very difficult to pursue  a career. Therefore, I mainly worked in retail. We presently live a relaxed life in Lewiston, Maine.
My immediate family consists of my husband, three daughters (Debra, Laura and Jennifer) and three granddaughters (Bretton, Bethany and Andrea).

Construction Project Manager www.thejesslingroup.com Married 3

It just seemed like yesterday when we graduated from PRH, and I left Pearl River for Hartwick College.  Did not gratuate from college, instead, opted to return to Canada, where I worked for several years at the Ontario Conservatory as an accordion teacher, and also performed with a small big band.  While working there, got married. However, my hours of work, (mainly nights and weekends) greatly conflicted with my wife's regular 9-5 hours. Hence, decided to leave the entertainment field and worked for the next 20 years in the property management field, as a property manager, maintaining commercial and residential high rise buildings. The function of that job (among many) was to keep the property in good repair, hence, I was continually involved with trades people and construction/renovation companies.  It was therefore a natural move for me in the early 90s to switch to the construction/renovation industry, as a construction project manager, with my main focus on servicing property managers and commercial property owners.  Have been doing that since the early 90s, and will continue to do so until I retire next year.
For those of you who follow me on face book, will know that my wife surprised me this Christmas with an accordion, so, I'm practicing like mad so that I can join a band somewhere locally when I retire and have some fun.
I mentioned above that I married when I was in the entertainment industry, a marriage that lasted 18 years, after which we divorced.  Twenty-five years ago this Valentine's Day, I married my current wife.  We share 3 kids, (my son and my wife's 2 daughters, from a previous marriage) and between the three kids, we share 10 grandkids, (ranging in age from 8 - 22).  Christmas sure is busy every year.
     Looking forward to the reunion.

Married 2
Married my high school sweetheart Tom Ekberg in 1972 a year after graduating with a BS in Education from SUNY Geneseo. Loved working at AT&T (for 15 years) " starting in programming/computer operations in Mt Kisco and then supervisory positions in payroll in White Plains NY followed by relocation to Bedminster New Jersey in 1978 when Tommy was transferred.
I retired in 1987 when our daughter Erin was born, to be a stay at home mother, (my son Thomas was born in 1991) volunteering in many town, school, Girl Scout  and church activities. We all enjoyed skiing, tennis and cycling.
My favorite activities now are visiting with my 8 month old grand daughters who were born in London and hopefully will return to live in the U.S. December 2018. We have enjoyed traveling to Ireland, London and Paris.  I love weekly walks and hikes nearby in Jockey Hollow National Park, just hanging with Tommy, family and friends and playing mahjongg.
