Balloon Pilot berkshireballoonexcursions.com Married 2

NAVY 1971 was a pivotal year for me. Graduated from RPI in June, joined the Navy one step ahead of the draft in July, and was married in August. Left active duty in 1979. I worked for GE for 10 years but didn't like it. Went on to a variety of civilian occupations. Retired from the Reserves in 2001 with the rank of Commander. I'm now a commercial balloon pilot in the summer, based in Western Massachusetts, although I fly in balloon festivals from Pennsylvania to Maine. The winter months usually find us sailing somewhere warm. British Virgin Islands is a favorite but we've sailed as far south as Grenada. Have also sailed in French Polynesia, Fiji, and Australia.

Artist Married 1

50 years since we graduated? It can't be true! Did you ever think you would be this old? Oh well. We're in it together! I started my life in Pearl River when I was 10 in Mrs. Roger's class at Evans Park School where I will never forget my first good friends, Ellen Schindler and Sandy McNaughton. (I wish I could see them again) Went to RCC as a Business Major, worked at Lederle Labs in the Marketing Dept. with Cecile Ablondi. We had a lot of laughs, she sat in front of me and we always got yelled at for talking! Went back-packing to Europe after that with great-pal Jack Maggio Dixon. Best 5 months I ever had! (She may not agree - wish she was coming to reunion) Went to Univ. of Bridgeport to major in Fine Art and Art Ed. Went on to work in Advertising Agencies in NYC as, Art Director on major brands Grey Advertising, etc. Was married in 1972, divorced after 9 years. Switched my career after 11 years to Advertising Sales and then Advertising Director for computer, metals industry, and Risk Mangement Publications.  Also remarried in 1995 to Michael Cass, who I met in Manhattan, and became step-mom to his wonderful daughter Meredith. Moved back to Pearl River in 2011 to my parent's house. My mom had passed away and my dad moved to his Cape Cod house to live. So we took over the old homestead and did lots of work to make it our own. Love the house. Oh, and some things never change, Bill Smith lives across the street just like the old days!! Today I am happy to spend a lot of my time painting, and drawing like I wish I could have years ago! Looking forward to seeing my fellow classmates soon!!!

Retired Art Teacher Married

I have been living in Chicago since 1973. I worked in the printing industry for many years and was lucky enough to become an art teacher in the Chicago Public Schools in 1990. Although I had a degree in Art Education from Buffalo State, it was a wild ride to begin teaching elementary school at the age of 40. I taught art in 2 different schools for 23 years, retiring in 2013.
Retirement is the golden ring on the merry go round. I am enjoying life with my husband, cats, garden and friends. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion, always a fun time!
